Robitics with Ms Chowfin
This term in robotics we have done different things we started off making a mars rover that can navigate mars on a website called tinker cad. My rover had a camera on an adjustable arm, solar panels connected to a box filled with rechargeable batteries, a metal box to balance out the weight and wheels with suspension so it can navigate the land without falling over.
After that we made a Lego rover with a sphero inside to move around it had 5 wheels so it went slower but turned better it fell apart half way through but we fixed it. Next we started playing code of combat where we started learning how to read and write java script. Java script is also case sensitive so you need capitals where capitals are need other wise it wont work. I learned how to make the character move left, right, up, down, mover in loops and attack. The code to move right is hero.moveRight(); in the brackets you change how many times your character does the action. We started using code to move the sphero to make it move in directions. In the last few weeks of our module we started using class craft where you level up your character by doing tasks your teacher has set for your group to do then you get coins and xp. Coins are used to buy new outfits you unlock by leveling up and the xp is used for leveling yo up.

Art project
these have been my best pieces of art in the module the first one is about robots that can help people. The first robot i made helps you if you drop something it picks it up for you. the second robot i made cooks food for you and stops it when its cooked and brings it to you. my second piece of art is a Maori that could be used as a fishing hook. i shaded the hook to make it look like it is round and name it have a 3d effect.

Maths Brackets
This year in maths we have done 5 different subjects to learn. We have done coordinates, basic algebra ,brackets, factorising and linear algebra. I have chosen to explain brackets with brackets you have a number outside the brackets and 2 or more numbers or letters if you are doing algebra. Whatever is inside the brackets has to be multiplied by whatever is outside the bracket. Here's an example 3(4+5) 3x4=12 3x5=15 the answer is 12+15. if its a letter outside the brackets it turns into algebra. It would be the letter and the number added to make the equation here's an example x(4+5)= 4x+5x. If its a letter inside and outside the bracket it would be x² or x³ etc depending on how many x's are in the bracket. Here is my work on brackets that about covers brackets.

This term we did some work as a group for a New Zealand photographer here is the one my group did
Marti Friedlander
She began working as a photographer in 1964, when she travelled around New Zealand.
Her passion was taking photos of New zealand and the different events that took place.
Marti Friedlander photographed the people of New Zealand from the 1960s up until the present. By bringing an immigrant’s perspective on her adopted country she showed New Zealanders to themselves. She is particularly renowned for her portraits of artists in the 1960’s and 1970s, and for her images of the last Maori women to have received the chin moko in a customary manner.

9MG English: Term One
This term in English we have been learning about the hero cycle and how movies and books follow a cycle that all hero story follow we made a poster of our hero that we look up to we made it on a slide printed out and put it up on the wall.
we also do these things called big questions and success tickets the big question is a thing we do at the start of every lesson where we are given a topic and we have to write about for 5 minutes or 10 if its a long question. the success ticket is what we do at the end of the lesson where we review what we did that lesson and what we could do to improve our work.
Me and my friend Matthew made a video of the hero cycle from the first alien movie. What i did well this term is my explanation of the hero cycle is what i did best this term. What i will improve next term is that i need to put more focus into work.
